REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA —  National Terrorism Agency (BNPT) head Suhardi Alius said radicalism is everywhere. He stated that radicalism can be found in many places, such as State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) and even National Police.

“Radicalism is everywhere, but it is different in the places, so it means our duty is to reduce it,” said Suhardi on Tuesday (Nov 19).

Suhardi said BNPT has gave understanding related to the dangers of radicalism, including the prevention way to 184 CEOs of SOEs. It was done by the request of former SOEs minister Rini Soemarno.

Suhardi reported the current situation to Coordinating Political Legal and Security Affairs Minister Mahfud MD. According to him, the effort to reduce radicalism is one of the things that was reported to Mahfud. In addition, he also explained about the cooperation to handle radicalism.

“Everything we reported, such as the process of reducing it, the the cooperation and in the future we will coordinate all ministries and institutions to do the same in order to reduce radicalism,” Suhardi explained.
